SEA FISHING
Fishing on the shore in Orroland Bay can be very rewarding. There are a variety of species available to catch from the rocks at various points along the shoreline. This is a favourite spot for local sea fishermen for cod and bass in the summer months.COARSE FISHING
There are a large number of coarse fishing locations throughout Dumfries and Galloway, the biggest being Loch Ken, just North of Castle Douglas, whose Carlingwark loch also harbours some big pike. Again search FishPal for a list of many locations available locally, together with the telephone numbers of contacts. Greenhill Fishery near Dalbeattie is nearby, a good place to start.
