Bees at Orroland
Every summer, Orroland’s wildflower meadow comes alive with the gentle hum of bees and other pollinators.
Supporting wildlife across our private coastal estate is a key priority for us, and bees play an important part in the natural balance of the grounds. We work carefully to create an environment where pollinators can thrive, with a rich variety of wild flowers blooming throughout the season.

A local beekeeper keeps seven hives here at Orroland, and the bees flourish thanks to the diversity of plants and habitats across the estate. Our two-acre wildflower meadow is especially vibrant during the summer months, buzzing with bees, butterflies and countless other insects.

For guests, it is one of the simple pleasures of exploring Orroland. A walk through the meadow on a warm afternoon offers a chance to slow down, listen to the sounds of nature and discover the extraordinary amount of life the estate supports.
And there is another reward too: the honey. Produced here at Orroland, it reflects the flowers and landscape around it — and it is delicious.
