Accessibility information for less mobile guests
We have taken care to ensure that we offer comfortable and convenient accommodation for:
- Elderly guests
- Guests with frail mobility
- Ambulant disabled
- Assisted wheelchair users
All three properties have bedrooms, bathroom and main living areas on the ground floor. Our accommodation is not formally graded for disabled use.
You can drive right up to the door. There is gravel outside the property. There is no step into the property, just a door frame. There is one low step between the utility room and the kitchen. On the ground floor you will find plenty of space for movement. Ground floor rooms are the double and single bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, sitting room, utility room. There is one normal step down to the shower room. From ground floor level there are two normal steps up to the family bedroom.
You can park very close to the kitchen door. The parking area is gravel. There are three quite deep steps up to get into the property. Once inside, ground floor rooms are twin bedroom, bathroom with shower over bath, kitchen, dining room, sitting room, sun porch. There are no steps between these rooms.
You can drive right up to the door. There is gravel outside the property. There are two shallow steps to get into the property for which a wheelchair ramp is available. Once inside you will find space for manoeuvre very good on account of wider than usual doorways and the overall space and ease of use of the property. Ground floor rooms are dining room, kitchen, bar, boot room, drawing room, shower room with frameless shower enclosure, WC and basin, 3 bathrooms with WCs, 1 twin bedroom, master bedroom (5ft double bed) with ensuite bathroom. There is a single step down to another twin bedroom.
You can drive to the loch. The parking area is gravel, the banks of the loch are fairly flat with mown grass and the pavilion can be accessed via the gravel parking area.
The paths to the sea shore are steep and not suitable for a wheelchair. Ambulant guests can walk part of the way and see what they think before they become fully committed!
