When you’re on holiday, you don’t always want to cook every night. We have some excellent catering partners who use local produce wherever possible and offer a delicious, professional and reliable service.
READY MEALS
Another great service from Caterbirds. Homemade meals for you to enjoy fresh or freeze for later in the week; all you have to do is heat it. Reduce the shopping, cooking and washing up so you can spend your time enjoying your holiday. Freshly cooked starters, main courses, puddings using seasonal ingredients, locally sourced where possible, to create a bespoke menu to suit your taste and budget. Book well in advance if possible to ensure availability.
Auchencairn Store run a very well-stocked licensed shop. They offer home delivery to Orroland and have an excellent range of local vegetables that they grow themselves, as well as sourcing meat and dairy goods from local suppliers. Many store cupboard supplies and frequent home-baking all feature. It’s a super little business!
HAMPERS
From the deli in Castle Douglas, you can order a hamper to be made and delivered.
BUTCHER DELIVERY
Our local-award winning butchers, T H Carson, supply a really good range of traceable meats from local farms, as well as cooked meats and pies. Based in Dalbeattie, they deliver out our way most days (so delivery options are flexible, including Saturdays, and it’s free delivery too!) How it works: you phone them to discuss your requirements and place your order. They prepare it and phone you back with the cost and take payment over the phone. The items are delivered on the agreed day. We are happy to take delivery of the order ready for your arrival, by arrangement – just let us know so we can ensure we are available to do so.
