How to find Orroland
From Dumfries:
Take the A711 to Dalbeattie.
Carry on through Dalbeattie, still on the A711.
Follow signs to Auchencairn at a bridge with traffic lights, still the A711.
Go through Auchencairn, up a long hill for about 3 miles. At the crest of the hill follow the small sign to the left to Orroland
At the first fork (only a short distance from the main road) bear right.
Go straight through the Gateposts, signposted Orroland. Abbotsway Cottage is the first turning on the left. Cutlar's Lodge is the next cottage , just past a sharp corner on the left. Carry on down the road and follow the signs to the right for Orroland Lodge.
